Martin & Co signs up software firm for 90 offices in record deal

In one of the biggest deals of its kind, property chain Martin & Co has signed a five-year agreement with estate agency software provider Reapit.

In the deal, the 90 Xperience offices that Martin & Co acquired last year from Legal & General will be moved to Reapit, involving migrations from at least nine different systems.

Reapit will also provide training for some 500 people as part of the deal.

The brands changing to the new system are CJ Hole, Whitegates, Parkers and Ellis & Co.

Martin & Co group managing director Michael Stoop said he had been wanting to move all the Xperience offices on to one platform for some time, and the change of ownership now afforded the opportunity.

Reapit managing director Gary Barker said his firm had significant experience in handling “extremely complicated large-scale projects”.

Director Simon Whale said: “This type of deal shows that more and more we are winning the argument that the off-the-shelf systems in the market just aren’t delivering for companies looking for software that mirrors the way they work, rather than having to come up with that horrible techie phrase of ‘workarounds’ that seems to be the watchword of most in this industry.”

The remaining Martin & Co offices – the bulk of the network – are signed to Jupix.

Ouch! that is the second time Martin and Co have moved platforms in 4 years. That says a lot!

    Congratulations Reapit!

I think you may have misread the article. It isn’t the Martin and Co offices moving onto Reapit it seems to suggest they will stay on Jupix. It is the other brands they bought last year that are presumably on a different platform.

…and the aim as stated is to bring all offices (eventually) onto one system and as the new acquisitions are going onto Reapit rather than Jupix…
