Congratulations to estate agent Matt Nicol, of Nicol & Co in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, who has been nominated for a JustGiving award.

Matt acted after an arson attack by vandals destroyed play equipment in a local park just before the summer holidays last year.

Knowing how much the local children would miss it, he brought the whole community together to raise money for new equipment.

He initially set his sights on £5,000 but ended up raising £16,000 – enough for a whole new play area.

He is one of three in his category, Community Crowdfunder of the Year, with an overall 20,000 nominations for this year’s awards.

Matt – pictured on the far left in front of the new playground – is the only estate agent to have got through to the finals and there are some moving and inspiring stories.
