I was hoping if any experts could help me with a question regarding tenants money paid up front.
As I understand it if a tenant pays for example 6 months up front totalling £6,000 then the amount has to be kept in our clients account and drip fed through to the landlord month by month to ensure that the tenant is protected.
If in the same example the boiler breaks down in the first month, I would assume that this money cannot be used for the repair if the cost totals more than the first months rent as the held funds are technically still the tenants? Could anyone please clarify.
