Foxtons to open two new offices after announcing review of expansion

Foxtons is to open of two new branches next month, in Vauxhall and Peckham.

The firm has opened five branches already this year, bringing the network to 65.

In both the latest offices, Foxtons will be running its usual 0% promotion for both sellers and landlords.

Vendors will be able to sell their property free while landlords will get free lettings and property management for a year.

The new Vauxhall branch will open its doors on October 1 and the Peckham office is set to open on October 29.

At the end of July, Foxtons announced a 42% slump in profits and said it would be paying shareholders no special dividend.

It also said it would be reviewing its programme of branch openings, and said it “may slow the pace of expansion in response to market conditions”.

Its declared aim has been to grow to 100 branches.

Since launching on the stock market in 2013, it will have launched 23 offices including the two to open next month.

Newer branches have been away from central London, going towards the outer boroughs.

The Vauxhall branch will be very close to the massive redevelopment of Nine Elms.
