Free landlord licensing consultancy website proves it is a winner

A consultancy that specialises in providing specific expertise and advice on landlord licensing schemes has won Best Service Provider for the private rented sector.

The award was made at the UK Landlord Accreditation Partnership’s conference in London.

Richard Tacagni, managing director of London Property Licensing, founded the business less than a year ago.

He said: “As a chartered environmental health practitioner with over 20 years’ housing experience, I have always sought to drive up standards in the private rented sector and ensure tenants have access to a safe, warm and decent place to live.

“But I also realised how difficult it had become for most landlords and letting agents to keep abreast of all the complex regulatory requirements.

“So I decided to refocus my energies and try to find a solution.

“The London Property Licensing website is a free online information resource that helps landlords and letting agents to understand the law.

“All the information is presented in a clear, simple and easy-to-navigate format that helps to make regulatory compliance less of a burden.”

Currently LPL focuses on London, with its website mapping out the various and complex property licensing requirements across all the London boroughs. The website is  free to use.

We know that on EYE we quite often bang on about this brilliant site, but first can we assure readers that no money has changed hands and it is not an advertiser; and second, London agents really should tap into this remarkable source of free online expertise.

Oh, and three, we are trying to persuade Tacagni to roll out the free website across the UK as quickly as possible. It’s badly needed.
