Guild launches new valuation tool for member agents

The Guild of Professional Estate Agents has launched two new services to all of its 800-strong network.

One is an online valuation tool, called e-valuate. When positioned on an agents’ home page, the banner invites visitors to generate a free, instant property valuation in exchange for a few details.

The valuation uses Land Registry data to calculate the estimated value of a property, including an upper and a lower price.

Users can also view ‘neighbourhood’ sold properties and the prices achieved. The service is also available on guildproperty.co.uk, aimed at generating new leads for Guild member agents.

To support this, the Guild has created a full suite of marketing materials including a Rightmove banner, direct mail cards, canvassing cards, e-zine, newspaper and magazine inserts, window cards, email footers and Facebook-friendly adverts.

Guild agents who have already tested this technology are reporting great success in generating additional leads and securing new instructions.

The Guild claimed that one agent has reported over 80 new leads in a week from a simple canvassing card campaign.

The Guild told EYE it has designed and built it itself, from within its own resources.

It has also developed a new market analysis tool called Guild Intelligence.

Guild Intelligence collates data from all the major portals offering comparable, ranked statistics on the local market for sales and lettings which updates every week. These include New Instructions, Time on Market and Sales Withdrawn.

Each office can drill down into the statistics by postcode, estate agent, property type and time period, all available in a variety of formats.

Marcus Whewell, CEO of the Guild, said: “We are delighted to offer even more relevant and productive services to our agents to help them thrive in a highly competitive market.

“Understanding your business environment and making yourselves attractive to potential new clients are key characteristics of leading agents.”
