LSL on the look-out for more independent agents to buy

LSL Property Services has announced that, following reports of continued improvement in the market, it remains committed to growing its network of estate agency branches through selective acquisitions.

Sellers will be able to choose the type of sale that will either let them quit altogether, or give them the funds to grow their business.

The news comes in the wake of LSL’s latest house price index – issued in conjunction with Acadata – which highlighted strong demand and a 2.6% monthly growth in transactions.

LSL said it believes that opportunities still exist in the market, making it clear that prospective sellers can choose between a full scale sale without their continued involvement or stay and operate under their own brand name with existing staff in place.

Paul Jardine, acquisitions and integration director at LSL, said: “Brexit, in particular, has brought mixed emotions for agents and whilst some may remain concerned about their future prospects within the market – and want to exit it – our figures demonstrate that for some it could provide them with the chance to grow and develop their business further.

“In both cases LSL is available to provide the support many agents need to realise their ambitions. We feel confident that many agents will find our proposition particularly attractive to them and, based on feedback from other sellers, appreciate our sensitive handling of their agency.

“Our aim is to continue to actively seek out further opportunities and ultimately support agent whatever their personal aims may be.”

There has been a decided slow-down in the acquisitions market since spring, although Spicerhaart has recently made it clear that it is keen to talk to owners wanting to sell up.

I think that’s the point shut the **** ones and buy new better ones without even needing to take over running them necessarily.

Try selling that to the staff that have left LSL network.

What a pack of lies from LSL.

Announce this one day and then they pull out of 2 deals at the 11th hour the next.- leaving vendors with no sale and large legal bills.

They are now planning to do no acquisitions for the rest of 2016 at least.

Unprofessional and dishonest are the nicest words that I can think of!
