New company launches with Propertymark and TDS directors

A new company that has launched called Money Shield was previously known as Arla Lite.

It had this name from February 5 to March 9, before changing its name.

Money Shield has five directors – Pamela Turner, David Cox and Mark Hayward, all directors of Propertymark, plus Nicholas Hankey and Stephen Harriott, both directors of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme.

According to Companies House, the nature of its business is “activities of other membership organisations not elsewhere classified”.

Cox said yesterday that a new product will be launching into the market within a couple of months, but would not be drawn on any details.

Another example of Propertymark being just another money making machine. I have been a member for 30 years now. They do nothing for their members but take the £300.00 per year subscription fee whilst trying to sell them associated products and training courses. Can’t wait for the advert to be in the magazine offering the services to us at a reduced rate for six months.

This is not such a big thing people. ARLA are simply entering in to the client money protection market for non ARLA members. It was announced this week at our meetings. It won’t affect members as this is a product for non members.

Surely gives you an idea how much money they are making from ARLA members and they want a solution for all those ARLA members that decide to leave!

Do you attend your regional meetings? Have you read the website front to back? As there is a huge amount of work ARLA does for its members. I’ve been a member for around 7 years and benefit greatly from the legal helpline, client money protection, redress schemes, continuous professional development, support, training, advice just to name a few. I also watch and read how ARLA lobbies continuously and supports the members in government in order to fight for what’s right and defend our positions as letting agents. Do you ever log into parliament TV to see what goes on? I was astounded at What ARLA does for its members and I reap those benefits weekly. But that’s because I make the effort to do so.
