Picture of the Week: And it’s a case of RIP for this particular property

Here’s today’s contestant for Picture of the Week – and it’s an estate agent’s board resting peacefully beside a cemetery, although we fear we’re too late to buy this one.

We were, of course, particularly interested in its ‘further potential’ and wondered what this could be.

However, the body of evidence shows that advertising cemeteries for sale with potential is not that uncommon.

We found one at Newbury, Berkshire, on with Clarke Gammon Wellers, being marketed with “immense potential” – and a price tag of £1m.

We also found a site on with Acorn, in Kent, which has planning permission for a cemetery and likely consent for a crematorium. And yes, that has huge potential too, with “significant demand for burial plots in the area”.

It’s what you might call more people on the planet.

Or – and let’s face it, estate agents are the first to spot a business opportunity – a grave future.

People are dying to buy here. Very quiet neighbours.

Conveniently located in the dead centre of the town.

I would like to know what the ‘further potential’ is? A Zombie apocalypse perhaps…or is that a ‘totally spurious claim’ similar to those made by online listers?
