RE/MAX hails its cheap hot-desking franchising alternative as a success

Franchising firm RE/MAX has signed up two agents and has 17 contracts pending within weeks of the launch of its low-cost franchising scheme.

RE/MAX launched Intro franchising in September as a cheaper package than its full franchising model that lets agents pay lower costs to run their own firm by hot-desking in existing offices.

It comes as RE/MAX signed up two full franchisees, existing London agents Right Step Property and Midas Property Club, which have converted to the brand.

Right Step Property, led by Hasan Kadri, has operated for two years.

Kadri said: “I wanted to take the business to the next level and be able to provide my clients with a better overall customer experience.

“As part of the RE/MAX brand, we now have access to world-class training, a vast network of over 116,000 real estate professionals around the globe and an international footprint in more than 100 countries – no other brand can rival that.

“We are now a local real estate office with the backing of a global brand with over 40 years of real estate experience.”

Midas Property Club, in London, was set up in 2011 by Sam Fongho and provides sales, lettings and auction support.

Fongho said: “Converting to a RE/MAX office will provide me with the backing and global network I need to take my business to the next level.

“I advise many international clients on property investments in the UK, from purchasing a residential property to investing in developments, which is why I wanted to align myself with a worldwide real estate brand.”

The signings take RE/MAX to 59 offices in the UK.

Peggy Su, regional director for RE/MAX London, said: “At RE/MAX, we provide our office owners, agents and staff members with the training they need to become successful in this competitive industry while providing a professional service to their clients.

“Proper training leads to a better customer experience, which results in a higher number of referrals and ultimately higher revenue.”
