Thankyou so much to our readers as #FlorenceDay gathers in thousands

Proof – if it were needed – that EYE has the best readers.

After we declared Friday to be #FlorenceDay your donations poured in to help two-year-old Florence Jackson, daughter of estate agent Rodney and his wife Caz.

Florence is ill with a rare form of cancer, Neuroblastoma, and has so far endured an enormous number of treatments, including surgery, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and over 20 rounds of chemotherapy.

Her best hope now is to go to America, where a specialist surgeon has had remarkable success in operating on cases like Florence’s.

But this will, of course, cost money and time is not on the Jackson family’s side.

By yesterday afternoon, the Just Giving appeal had reached 65% of its ambitious £250,000. A total of of just over 7,000 supporters had given the money.

While many of the donations were anonymous, we are very proud to have recognised a significant number of names as being estate agents, and suppliers to the industry.

If anyone reading this was not in the office last week, or missed #FlorenceDay, it is not too late to donate as there is still some way to go.  Your donations are appreciated beyond words by dad Rodney, who is a senior negotiator with Proctors at their branch in West Wickham, Kent.

Wishing her the very best from everyone at Reapit. Can’t even imagine how hard it is for anyone to go through that many sessions and yet to see her still grinning is amazing.

Calling on our erstwhile supplier partners, competitors or otherwise to see what we can do together.

Going to mention this story in tomorrow’s BLG bulletin. Hopefully a few lawyers will also put their hands in their pockets and contribute. No rude comments please!!
