We won! Property Industry Eye is crowned property trade magazine of the year

We won! And we won it together.

Last night Property Industry EYE won the accolade of Property Trade Magazine of the Year in the Property Press Awards.

We were up against Garden Design Journal, Letting Agent Today, Landlord Today, Property Investor Today, The Negotiator, and Show House.

The judges specifically commented on the engagement that we have with you, our readers.

So, we cannot thank you enough.

The award, at the ceremony in central London, was collected by EYE managing director Nick Salmon, who said: “I can only pay tribute to all the astonishingly hard work that our team has put in since our launch just over three years ago.”

Rosalind Renshaw, editor of EYE, said: “I really am thrilled.

“Most of all, I would like to thank our loyal, disloyal, clever, argumentative, witty and combative readers, whose input is greater than anything I can contribute. You have made it what we are.”

Many congratulations also to our writer Marc Shoffman, who was shortlisted as freelance property journalist of the year. In his tightly contested category, the winner was the incredibly talented Martina Lees.

Our own Marc was also shortlisted in last week’s financial journalist of the year awards.

In other results last night, we congratulate Oliver Shah, awarded property journalist of the year; and the great Peter Bill, winner of the lifetime achievement award – a gong awarded to Rosalind three years ago.

Graham Norwood, who edits Estate Agent Today, won social media influencer of the year, while property columnist of the year went to Jules Birch. Property commentator of the year was Henry Pryor.

The awards are organised by Property4Media

Well Robert, you have excelled yourself in attracting this number of dislikes to your accolade to PIE. Shall we open a book on who the poor sad sap is who keeps logging in and out in order to place another dislike.

The dislike count on one story from yesterday suggest’s today’s dislikes could be a bi product of disliking yesterdays comment.

Perhaps the trust pilot review team have been  redirected to dislike posts on here in order to tick the career development promise made at interview?

Many congratulations to PIE and to the many contributors, including those posting comments. The greatest compliment I can pay is that many times it is addictive reading.

Of course there was never any doubt that this would be the case – but congratulations nevertheless for a well-deserved recognition of your service to our industry!

Others can but watch and dream to aspire to close the gulf of difference in their offering.

And to the sore losers who think that ‘Disliking’ congratulations makes them look anything other than eejits…

    …better luck next year.

Or – simply pray for a miracle – much better chance of that.

Maybe those who dont feel PIE to be deserving winners like to  grow some cojones ,reveal  themselves and perhaps explain to Ros and the team why?

Has EYE BEEN HACKED? I have no doubt that on many of the stories today, readers will have noticed a rather unusal amount of dislikes, some can only be described as ludicrous. I will put my money on many being from one person.

Were I in a vexatious mood I’d suggest that you re-read the article title again, this time substituting the letter ‘W’ with the letter ‘V’ in the first two words, and imagining Frau Renshaw banging her open hand with her other clenched fist…

    …as if I would.

Zat vould be veerry verry naughty off mee
