Yopa’s disappearing video reappears — with a subtle change in wording

A promotional video from Yopa that appeared on its YouTube before rapidly disappearing after EYE contacted the online agent about it has reappeared once again — this time with a subtle change in wording.

The video, entitled “So you’ve chosen a Yopa home valuation? Five reasons we’re different”, originally appeared on January 12.

It featured Yopa’s agents extolling the virtues of the firm’s personal service, the ‘For Sale’ board it provides and the price of its fixed fees (£839 including VAT, or £1,399 in some London postcodes).

After its first appearance, EYE contacted Yopa and asked if it felt the reasons it gave truly made it different to other estate agents.

In response, Yopa said: “We will be sending this video to customers who have already chosen to have a valuation with Yopa, as a reminder of why we think we’re a bit different to other agents. We’re confident that our customers will be able to make up their own minds about the reasons that make Yopa different.”

But then the video disappeared from YouTube.

Now it is back again, having been uploaded on Tuesday this week.

But this time its title reads slightly differently: “So you’ve chosen a Yopa home valuation? Here are five reasons why we are a little bit different.” (The emphasis has been added by EYE).

In all other respects, the video appears to be exactly the same.

At the time of writing, it had collected a total of just 50 views.

Yopa has also released two videos of the adverts it is running to support the launch of its no sale, no fee option this week:

I quite like the Yopa adverts, they are light hearted, poke a little fun at themselves, and dont spend 30 seconds solely slagging off estate agents, instead trying to point out their own benefits.
