Clever move: ZPG business to sponsor Britain’s Got Talent series

Zoopla-owned uSwitch has been named as the headline sponsor of show Britain’s Got Talent.

Adverts from the comparison website, featuring imagery shown below, will highlight how it can save money on household bills and financial products in between auditions showing the best, or worst, of UK variety-style performance such as dancing dogs or opera singers.

The sponsorship will run for the full duration of the 12th series of Britain’s Got Talent, which returns shortly on ITV.

This year’s series will see the usual judges – creator Simon Cowell plus Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams – return in the search for the most exciting talent to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. Past winners have indeed been a dog.

The quartet will once again be joined by Ant and Dec (well, that’s what the press release says but perhaps we’ll have to see).

Gareth Helm, chief marketing officer at ZPG, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with ITV on one of their biggest shows. This is an excellent opportunity for us to further build the uSwitch brand and help the nation understand how they can save hundreds of pounds a year off their household bills in a matter of a few minutes.”

Mark Trinder, commercial sales director of ITV, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming uSwitch as the new sponsor of one of the nation’s most-loved programmes and bringing their brand to millions of viewers through the power of TV.”

We suspect there will be some clever advertising in the breaks.
