Emoov attempts to throw lifeline to vendors with House Network

Emoov is offering customers affected by House Network’s decision to stop trading a free service.

Naveen Jaspal, chief operating office of emoov, said: “Any House Network customer who paid to sell their home but has not yet secured a sale can list for free with emoov.”

Emoov was acquired out of administration by Mashroom in January and relaunched under new management.

Jaspal said: “In January our team stepped in and rescued emoov.

“At the beginning we focused our efforts on assisting and listing former customers. We created an even easier stress-free, streamlined way to relist a property.

“We would like to extend that same level of support to former House Network customers and help them to quickly get back on the market.

“We completely understand the situation House Network customers have found themselves in and our experienced team is here to offer a free safety net.”

House Network customers have until May 31 to take up the offer.

Emoov should just concentrate on selling stock they currently have.

Nothing Screams desperate for stock like offering your services for free.

It’s clear from the language being used that they see Emoov as a listing facilitator, nothing more. Nothing about helping people to sell, just list.

But then again, we all know that’s the online business model, so we shouldn’t really be surprised.

All I want to know is can I get a refund from House Network to enable me to go elsewhere, and if so, where from?

You will need to contact the administrators to make a claim but I’d suggest your chances of getting a penny back are less than zero.

You can go elsewhere without paying a penny.  The vast majority of Estate Agents offer their services on a No Sale No Fee basis.

Look what trying to save money has cost you already.

      Do the sensible thing.

Casts mind back to December 2018… when over 2000 vendors were “left stranded” following the collapse of emoov v1 – a company that had, if nothing else, years of history (which emoov v2 is still currently displaying and therefore misleading the public…), and painful as it is for me to type this, someone who knows and understands Estate Agency… and now here they are with a five-minute track record of giving away free listings trying to fluff up their feathers as the saviours.

Give it up, eMoov v2.  You have no Quirkster to orchestrate the bluster and *********** (credit: Jonnie) needed to last more than a few months. The bloke himself is now saying that companies like yours – once his – haven’t got what it takes to survive.

Do the right thing – DON’T SH@FT PEOPLE FOR THE SECOND TIME.
