Jack Ballantine, a former director at Sotheby’s International Realty where he oversaw the relaunch of the UK franchise, has launched his own property business.

Ballantine Percival will focus on acquisitions for private clients both in the UK and internationally.

Based initially in London, Ballantine believes he could have platforms in Monaco, Los Angeles and Hong Kong as early as 2020 and 2021.

He said: “We see a huge opportunity to assist clients from all around the world that aren’t being catered for.

“Over the past couple of years we’ve seen significant changes in how buyers engage with property in the UK.

“I’m really excited to be launching Ballantine Percival. We’ve got exciting plans which involve bringing on board influential shareholders and we’re collaborating with other emerging businesses.”

Ballantine stayed only a matter of months at Sotheby’s International Realty. Before that he was the UK head of Asia desk at global firm CBRE, where he was responsible for the successful launch of some of London’s best known residential schemes.
