Launching a new EYE competition: Can you find the oldest property on a portal?

Here is a new contest for our readers to enter.

There are no prizes beyond the psychological – the satisfaction that your own properties are fresh as the proverbial daisies, rather than pushing them up.

So here goes.

What is the property that has spent most time being listed on a portal? Are we talking weeks, months, years – or even a decade?

To get into the spirit of things we found this on Zoopla: https://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/13465057

It looks as though it has been on the market since October 2010.

But when we double-checked with Rightmove, we found evidence of even greater maturity.

In fact, it’s about to celebrate its 12th birthday.

Your competition to see who is the most rubbish estate agent in the land shows wonderful support for the industry.

    Nice one.

      Sorry?

The age of one listing is not a measure of an Agent.

And no-one can ever, EVER, doubt or question the support that Frau Renshaw or EYE give – and have given – our industry.

It must must be sentimental listing for keeping it live.

also after 10 years the price of the property must have gone up even in a dump area or the condition of the property would have deteriorated.

lets wait for the profit warning!!!
