Murder home goes under offer just days after being put on market

The house where a bookseller was murdered is on the market – and has quickly gone under offer.

The property, in Oxford, was featured in a recent television documentary which showed how police tracked down the killer of Adrian Greenwood.

Michael Danaher stabbed Mr Greenwood in the hallway and stole a valuable first edition of ‘The Wind in the Willows’.

He was jailed for 34 years.

Agents Penny & Sinclair say that the property is sold subject to contract.

Priced at £725,000, the particulars recommend potential viewers to discuss certain points which “are likely to affect your interest” with a member of staff “in order that you do not make a wasted journey”. However, this appears to be standard wording used by the agents.

The attractive property went under offer within days, after being listed on Rightmove on August 9.
