New free service booking over 100 tenant viewings for agents a day

A business which launched five months ago is booking over 100 viewing appointments a day for London letting agents.

Movebubble, which does not charge agents and started in December, describes itself as a property search service which helps tenants navigate the rental process.

On Monday, it hit a record of 164 booked viewings.

Prospective renters register on the site, can get advice and book viewings while agents in turn get qualified leads. Some 2,000 renters currently use the site daily, while around 700 letting offices are using the service.

One attraction for agents it that it specialises in professional tenants, emphasising that they work for some of London’s best employers.

Movebubble, which stresses that it is neither an online agent nor a portal, says that it uses technology to speed up and simplify the process for tenants looking to move home.

A spokesperson said: “We understand the renter’s needs, qualify them and select a shortlist of properties for them to view, scheduling their diary and being on hand to help them through their relocation.

“By working closely with our growing base of partners in London, we are understanding how to solve renters’ and agents’ problems to make a better service for everyone.”

The spokesperson said that the service is currently concentrating on its growth but will eventually monetise itself by charging tenants for additional services both before and after they move in. It has no plans to charge agents.

One of the ways it might charge tenants – and something it is experimenting with – is to offer a virtual viewing service, whereby someone from Movebubble visits properties on behalf of busy tenants, and live-streams a video to their computer screen or phone.

“We have done it for a few renters, and as a result have had some offers. We are experimenting with it and may launch it,” said the spokesperson, who said that the business may be rolled out beyond London.
