Revealed: The best day and time to list a property

Wednesday has been identified as the best day of the week to list a property for sale.

Zoopla analysed seven months of listings data from last September to the end of March, to assess the best day for lead generation.

It found that Wednesday is when most interested buyers are viewing homes and sending leads to estate agents, with the hour of 9pm being most popular.

Friday and Saturday receive the lowest proportion of leads generated.

Most sales leads come between 8pm and 9pm, Zoopla said.

Those looking for their next rented home are most active on a Monday, Zoopla says, with 8pm also the peak hour.

Charlie Bryant, managing director at Zoopla, said: “We always strive to provide our agents with the best insights to inform their marketing strategies.

“By listing in the late afternoon they will likely experience the highest proportion of buyers and renters sending leads in the evening.

“This just goes to show that serious buyers and renters have a tendency to research and enquire during the week, possibly then taking the time to do viewings in person at the weekend.”

As useful as the Zoopla on line property valuation tool that vendors cling on to when we go out to list their property

Or list it New and Exclusive on OTM for 72 hours on Monday.

AND why would you even bother with ****** Zoopla..?

Why bother using OTM when it is the Sellers who are paying the agents bill? Rightmove is still number 1 and Zoopla number 2 so why wait getting onto the major property portals?

The only company it benefits is OTM trying to get buyers to their website first. No benefit to the customer
