Sale of Jackson-Stops now confirmed by broker firm

The sale of the Jackson-Stops business in London to Dexters has now gone through, confirming the EYE exclusive story.

The confirmation has come from broker Besterman Consulting, which advised Jackson-Stops and negotiated the sale.

Gregory Besterman used to own Sullivan Thomas, sold in 2013 to Carter Jonas.

While he joined Carter Jonas then as head of residential, he had to leave because of family illness.

Since then, he has been providing selling advice to property firms.

He told EYE yesterday evening that the sale of the Jackson-Stops London business had included the Frank Harris offices.

He said: “I am very pleased we were able to get the JSS sale through. A number of buyers are sitting on their hands and awaiting the outcome of Brexit.”

EYE has asked both Jackson-Stops and Dexters about the sale. Neither has yet responded.

Marc Daniels of business transfer agent Addisons said he initiated the deal by introducing Dexters to the sellers, and arranging the initial meetings with directors of both companies.
