Tenant fee ban to be hot topic at webinar for letting agents

A webinar aimed at letting agents concerned at how they are going to have to adapt their businesses at a time of rapid change, is being held on Thursday.

The tenant fee ban will be among the issues up for discussion, with ARLA chief executive David Cox providing an update. He will discuss how the legislation will change the lettings industry and answer questions.

He will also answer questions, along with other panel members.

The panel will include Graham Lock, who started House Network in 2005, which went on to sell more than 10,000 properties. He was managing director at The Property Franchise Group before becoming an independent consultant.

He will be joined by David Thomas, founder and director of Liberty Gate, an estate and lettings agency in Nottingham.

Debbie Franklin is also on the panel. She spent 27 years at Andrews Property Group.

The webinar is the first to be staged by rental platform Goodlord.

It will take place this Thursday from 9.30am to 10.30am and attendance can be registered at https://goodlord.ly/2O4thHE

I see that another discussion on the webinar will be “How technology can help your agency adapt and mitigate lost revenue”. This is great to see that discussions such as this are being talked about. For too long agencies have not adapted to technological changes, and have fallen behind.

I’m inclined to agree. I’d rather implement software than hire an administrator – it’s cheaper and software doesn’t take holidays!!
